Recap: DALIM 4 (David Archuleta Live in Manila)

Hello beautiful people! So today is the last day of July and tomorrow is August already. Wow, how time flies! I remember how I just started posting in here again this early July after such a long time and now a month has passed already. But before the month actually ends, here is my last post which is quite special because tomorrow is my special day plus it's Crushiversary for me and my fellow Archie go-getters. Who these people are and what this day is all about, I'll explain later. ;)

I would like to share with you the last event I've attended so far. To be honest, I've already drafted this post some time in mid-July but decided to just post it now since it's kinda timely for tomorrow's special day. I think this would be my last event recap for now. It's another concert but not Kpop this time. It's one of my favorite Hollywood singer/songwriters, David Archuleta. I've been a fan since 2008 so that's for a decade now this 2018!

We call the show as DALIM 4 which stands for David Archuleta Live in Manila 4. Needless to say, this is David's fourth time having a concert here in the Philippines. It was held last October 20th 2017 at the Kia Theatre. Photos below taken by me.

David's first visit here (DALIM 1) was for a back-to-back concert with David Cook at the MOA Concert Grounds back in 2009. The next one (DALIM 2) was a mini-showcase at SM North Edsa Skydome back in 2010. The third time (DALIM 3), which I got to attend to for the first time and also his first major solo concert here, was at the then-called Araneta Coliseum back in 2011. The venue's name was later changed to Smart Araneta Coliseum in partnership with Smart Communications, I think. I remember I used to joke on how they added "Smart" on it because David finally set foot on it. He's smart like that and yeah we're crazy like that lol.

So anyway, again with my little introduction. David Archuleta. Do you guys know him or still do? A lot of people probably don't know anymore but he came from American Idol Season 7 and finished as runner-up to David Cook back in 2008. He had a lot of studio albums since then and went on tours in the US and across Asia. But back in 2012-2014, he went on a hiatus as part of his two-year mission for his church (LDS).

However, since he loves his Pinoy fans too much, or his fans in general, he did some last few projects here before he left! He came back to the Philippines in 2012 before he officially left for his mission in Chile. He did an OPM album where he recorded some of the well-loved OPM songs of all time such as "Forevermore" by Side A which was also the album title. He even did music videos for three songs off the album! Sweet! ^_^

[Official album cover art]

Another project was to do a mini-series under TV5. Yes, that's right! It's TV5 from the Philippines! He starred in the mini-series "Nandito Ako" alongside Jasmine Curtis and Eula Caballero. It was beyond awesome for us to be able to witness his acting skills, let alone do a Pinoy series!!!

[Official Nandito Ako poster]

I was able to see him again in 2012 for his OPM album signing and Grand Fans Day at SM Megamall, his guesting on Talentadong Pinoy, as well as some event at the Tanghalang Pasigueño. He performed some of the songs from his OPM album live for the first time including the mini-series' theme song, "Nandito Ako," which is in Tagalog! Like wow! Just wow!!!

Okay that's as far as I remember. So before this turns into another topic, let me go back to the main topic lol. But I can't help it you know. My last post in here before I got back was in 2011 when DALIM 3 happened. Lotsa things happened since then sooo... :P

All right, going back, this is the first time I'm seeing him again since he got back from his mission in 2014. And I think it's really special because on the same day of his concert, October 20th 2017, his latest studio album "Postcards in the Sky" was also released! Too bad the actual CD is only available in the US. So apparently, I don't have a copy of the album yet. The only option would be iTunes or Amazon but since I don't do either, I'm screwed. T_T Anyone wanna gift it to me instead? Haha! I'm kidding but jokes are half-meant so yeah. Will definitely be happy if I can get my copy. Although I do get to listen to it on Spotify at times, it's still different when you have your own copy of the album, right? You should go listen to it by the way if you have time! The songs are really really nice! Very uplifting and inspirational! But that's David for ya! :)

[Official album cover art]

Back to the concert, he performed a total of 19 songs ~ old and new, covers and mashups, OPM songs in English and Tagalog! It's a little bit of everything! He even danced a bit in some of the songs! I cannot! Haha! He also did a duet with his front act, Tippy dos Santos, for the OPM hit "You Are My Song" which is also included in his OPM album. It was beyond bliss to be able to watch the show and just fangirl our hearts out again after such a long time! :)))))) We've missed him so much really! T_T

Here are some more photos I took from the show. They're not of the best quality but anyways... :D

[David also played piano on some songs but unfortunately I don't have a decent photo of him sitting down with the piano. T_T]

[Bad lighting. But what'ya doing, David?! Haha! Ladies & gents, this is where he was dancing! One hardworking guy right there! Lol]

[During "Forevermore" performance. Just sitting there with his awesome guitarist, Brady Bills.]

[Bad lighting again. But this was during "You Are My Song" duet with Tippy dos Santos. It was beautiful! ^_^]

[Tippy during her solo performance]

I was able to record all of David's performances including the duet but I'm not sure I'll get to upload them anytime soon. I want to but it takes quite a long time trying to upload on Youtube and there are a lot of videos! Also, I was actually in the orchestra center section but sad to say, my videos are still not that good due to the lighting. I mean, the lights were actually beautiful but for my eyes only and not meant for beautiful recording on my phone. Pfft. Haha. But thankfully, my fellow Archie, Carla unnie, who was with me during the concert (and wearing a matchy-matchy DALIM 4 black shirt with me haha, see photo below), already uploaded hers and heck, they're of much, much better quality than mine so might as well just watch those in the meantime. ;)

Below is the complete setlist and here's the Youtube playlist link.

[Outside the venue. Only selca with this oppa! :D]

[My ticket & TPA ID + lanyard! Woot!]

So I guess that's pretty much it. Oh, by the way, allow me to post in here just one actual video from the show. It's David's final performance at the concert but this was his debut single back in 2008 so it would always be his first baby and my birthday song as well since it was released on my birthday on August 1st! Yes, days like that are always remembered! Haha! :))

As I mentioned earlier, tomorrow is a special day not only because it's my birthday but it's also what we fans like to call  "Crushiversary" since David's debut single "Crush" first got released in the US on the same day! So yeah, you guys can actually sing this to me as a birthday song if you want! I wouldn't mind lol. Anyone? ;)

"Crush" by David Archuleta
Live @ Kia Theatre

Okay, I think this has been more of a recap of everything that happened since 2012 until his comeback concert here in 2017. Haha! Thank you if you got up to this point! You rock! Sending some Archu-love! :*

Until then. Have a great month of August ahead! Take care! Ciao!

Anne Sessions: Meteor Garden 2018 OST Cover

Hellooo! I'm back with my self-proclaimed #annesessions for you guys. Haha! Today I will be sharing here a short cover I did last night for one of my favorite OSTs from Meteor Garden 2018. The song is called "Love, Existence" if you translate the Chinese "爱, 存在" but for some reason the English title may vary. It's the ending song in the series and sung by Wei Qi Qi (魏奇奇).

I've already mentioned it before but this song just gives me so much feels. It's beautiful and sad at the same time. T_T So yeah, just thought I'd do a cover of it. This is actually a rushed cover because it's only last night when I saw the lyrics and kinda worked on how to pronounce the words. And this is my first attempt on a Chinese song so my apologies if I mispronounced anything. I tried. :D

To be honest, out of all the Asian countries I like to watch dramas from (Korea, Japan, Taiwan and China), the hardest language to learn for me is Mandarin Chinese. I just can't seem to grasp how to pronounce some of the Chinese consonants and vowels. Or maybe I kinda was able to some time ago but then I just forgot.

I haven't really seen much Taiwanese or Chinese dramas in so long. So when I first saw this new MG remake, it was a bit nuts hearing the language again because they kinda speak too fast for me, not that I'd understand anything even if they speak a bit slower lol. Somehow I still remember some of the usual words but of course I still have to wait for the English subs before I can actually watch the full episodes. The only problem is that even in subs, sometimes these subtitles are just too fast as well. But then I also watched some other Chinese movies just recently after that while waiting for the MG subs. And so my eyes and ears were sort of able to adapt again through that, I guess? Haha

Okay what a long intro yet again! My bad. Below is my cover of the song on Youtube. ;)

If you liked what you heard, you might want to go over the video on Youtube and share some love by liking, dropping a comment, and maybe subscribing too. :D

P.S. I originally posted the audio of this first on SoundCloud. So I'd appreciate it if you can also listen to it there and maybe show some love as well. Haha. Xiexie! :))

Have a great day!

Meteor Garden 2018 OST

Da jia hao! I'm back with another Meteor Garden 2018 post! Today I will be talking about the original soundtrack (OST) of the series. Nothing much. Just wanted to share with you guys how well did I like the songs and if you haven't already heard them, maybe you might want to listen after this. Yes, this is me sort of promoting the album in my own little way. :D

[Album cover art]

Before we start, I have a little tip for you. Starting somewhere in the middle of this blog post, I shared some of the songs in here that I found online. Hopefully that's fine with you because I myself actually thought twice and even thrice before doing it lol. Somehow I just felt a bit guilty, if you know what I mean. But nevermind that. If you want, you can start playing each of them now as you read through all of my nonsense. Kidding. Haha. But yes, since I tend to ramble a lot, you might want to listen to some of the songs already while reading. Happy listening and reading! :))

Okay, so I've read somewhere that the album was supposed to be released today, July 24th, but instead came out a day earlier yesterday, July 23rd. I'm not exactly sure but I think it came out some time after midnight, around 2-3am. I know because someone I follow on Youtube was real quick to post some of the songs there and for whatever reason, I was still awake then. Or maybe I just suddenly woke up from my sleep because my heart knew? I don't know lol. And although there's both the excitement of getting to hear it right away and the uneasy feeling of having to rely on Youtube instead of getting the album myself, I started listening.

The album consists of 22 tracks including instrumentals. I already know that the opening song was sung by our new F4 boys. But since I wasn't really that all-familiar with their voices yet, especially since the series is dubbed and not their own voices, what a pleasant surprise to know that most of the songs were actually sung by F4 too!!! I cannot!!! Why do I suddenly feel like a proud mom when I just knew about them not too long ago?! These kids are really something! But kidding aside, our old F4 should be very proud too. :))

Most of the songs are too emotional for their own good. The feels. Imma cry. T_T If you've seen the series so far, we've already had a glimpse of these songs as we watch. So from that, it made me want to hear certain songs in full right away.

Another pleasant surprise for me is that most of my favorites are the ones sung by F4, including their solo songs! Actually, I like all of their solo songs!!! Like ALL. And I'm not even kidding! All of their songs are just awesome I can't even. Each song has its own take for me. From one cool song to an emotional one and then back to a feel-good song. It's just so pleasant to the ears really. And if you're deep of a person like me, include the heart there. Good music is always good for the heart and mind and soul! :))

So first off, I particularly really really liked Didi's (Dylan Wang) solo song called "Don't  Even Have to Think About It" when I first heard it on the show. It was when Shancai got into trouble with some bad guys and Dao Ming Si came to the rescue. I just find it super cool when he saved her and then they played his song right there! The song is so cool in itself already but I especially really liked the guitar play in the intro and throughout the whole song! Way cool! I know I keep saying cool but really, it's pretty cool! But also, from that certain scene alone, it sounded a bit emotional too for me even if I didn't really know what it was all about back then, not that I know about it now. I have yet to see any of the songs' lyrics and English translation. It's all based on the way it's sung and how it makes me feel or how it gives me the feels, if that makes sense. :D

And so when I finally heard the song in full, I can't believe Didi's the one singing it! But I should've known it was him because of his unique voice. Unique in a way that it's both cool and cute at the same time? I can't explain. Haha. But because I heard he prefers rap music, I didn't think it was him at first. Now I really like his singing voice too, especially on this type of song. Again, it's just so cool to listen to. I hope we can hear more of it in the future aside from his rapping. Speaking of rap, he has another track in the album called "Extremely Important" which has this hiphop~ish, rap music vibe. I'm not really all too familiar with music genre's but I think this is what he really likes. Do what you want, baby Didi. Haha. But this jiejie (old sis) right here wouldn't mind listening to your singing voice too any time of the day. ;)

Okay, sorry for the long intro on Didi's songs. I think I'm getting sick here because I just keep on talking about him in general. What syndrome is this?! Haha! I'm starting to feel like this is becoming yet another O.D.D. for me (Archies relate). Omg. Help! :D

So below is one of his songs which is my most favorite OST so far. This may be a bit biased because I like our didi (as in little brother) the most. Haha. But as if I haven't said enough, I do like the song itself too even before I knew who's sung it! And I don't even have to think about it, as the title says! :P

Update: On August 5th, they released the official MV for DiDi's solo song. You may watch it below or go over the official upload on Youtube. Let's stream it there too everyone! :))

"Don't Even Have to Think About It"
by Dylan Wang
(Official MV)

If you want to listen to his other song as well, here it is below. Although this is not exactly my type of music, it's actually pretty neat too, yo! I wanted to say cool again but I've been saying it way too much. I'm not really good with words so yeah. Haha. Oh, right! I think I just found the right word! This song has that swag in it and I'm totally digging it! Swaggy Rapper Didi! ;)

"Extremely Important"
by Dylan Wang

The next song I really liked is Darren Chen's solo song called "The Tenderness Behind the Flower." This is one emotional song. As I listened, memories of Hua Ze Lei and Teng Tang Jing came back to me. How I wish they could actually end up together too even if it's not in the manga or in the previous versions of the series. For once, I would like for our Lei/Rui to be happy. I'm not exactly one to have second lead syndrome, although during MG 2001 I think I fell for the old Lei too at first. I don't know if it's just because the story was still new then and I thought he's the main lead. Because I always fall for the main lead for some reason lol. So yeah, I was all for Ah'Si in the end. But I do feel for second leads too. Like I just want them to be happy as well because they deserve it. We know how they've always been good to the main (girl) lead and yet there's the sad truth that they can never be together so yeah. :D

Oh, by the way, a music video was released too yesterday for Darren's song. You can watch it below. I like how he actually plays the piano here. I wonder if he can really play the violin as well, like his character in the series. That would be awesome. :)

"The Tenderness Behind the Flower"
by Darren Chen / Kuan Hong
(Official MV)

So next, there's Caesar Wu and Connor Leong's songs. I actually can't decide which one do I like more from their solo songs because one is emotional (Caesar's) and the other is a fun, feel-good song (Connor's) for me. But I do like both songs and both of them have beautiful voices as well! It's just that I first liked Didi and Darren's songs early on, perhaps due to the particular scenes in the series where I first heard them from or what comes to my mind every time I listen to them. Below are Caesar and Connor's songs. :))

"Going Crazy Thinking About You"
by Caesar Wu

"Stars Counting Shooting Stars"
by Connor Leong / Jingkang Liang

So there you go for F4's solo songs. They also have two other songs they did as a group aside from the opening song "For You" which I really liked too. Their other two songs are "Making Memories" and "Never Would've Thought Of." Both are really really nice as well. I don't know how else to describe it but I just feel happy and relaxed but a bit emotional too all at the same time while listening to them. :)

"For You" by F4
(Official MV)

"Making Memories" by F4

"Never Would've Thought Of" by F4
(Lyric video)

All right! That's it for F4's songs. I hope it's okay having posted them here because the world needs to hear them too! These guys aren't a letdown everyone! They certainly did not and do not disappoint. So to anyone (is there any? haha) who is still not satisfied, give them a break. :P

Going back to the OST album, it also has tracks from other artists such as "Waiting for Someone" by Shennio Lin, and also the girl version of Caesar's solo song "Going Crazy Thinking About You" sung by Clover Kao (Gao Juan Ya).

There's also the song "Love, Existence" by Wei  Qi Qi which perfectly fits as the ending theme for me. It's another one of my favorites because it just gives me the feels like in every other ending song of certain Chinese/Taiwanese dramas I've also watched before.

Update: On August 10th, they released the official MV for the ending song. Video below. ;)

"Love, Existence" by Wei Qi Qi
(Official MV)
The album also includes old songs such as Harlem Yu's "Qing Fei De Yi" which was the opening song in the original series. Then there's also Penny Tai's "Ni Yao De Ai," both her old and new versions; plus another artist, Fu Yan, has a new version of it too! Just brings back memories. Below is Penny Tai's new version. :)

"Ni Yao De Ai" (The Love You Want)
by Penny Tai
(Official MV - 2018 version)

Lastly, the album also has three old songs in English which we probably all know:
1. "River" by Bishop Briggs
2. "Say Something" by A Great Big World [This song I particularly remember playing during some sad scenes of Hua Ze Lei and Teng Tang Jing.]
3. "Anyone of Us (Stupid Mistake)" by Gareth Gates

So that's it! We're almost done here. But there's just one last thing that bothers me. In the tracklisting I saw online, the album also includes the original F4's version of Meteor Rain. That is cool and all because I've always loved that song too. What bothers me is that I know I heard a new version of it somewhere by the new F4 but apparently, it doesn't seem to be included in the official soundtrack. Why oh why? Is there something I'm missing here? I've been saying it everywhere online that I don't know if I just imagined it was a new version. But I swear I know exactly how the original version sounds and it's different! I believe I have some sort of sensitive ears so I heard what I heard! Haha! Sooo... Can anyone enlighten me what's happening? Why is the new version of Meteor Rain not included in the tracklist?? I'm soooo lost here really, because it instantly became one of my favorites too when I first heard it. If you know anything, you might want to share it with me. Xiexie! :))

There you are. I hope you liked the songs as much as I did. I don't understand Chinese myself but you can download the digital album online. Here's the official download link.

Let's hope it becomes available on iTunes and Spotify soon too for more convenience.

Update: July 27, 2018

As of today, the album is now available on Spotify and Apple Music and iTunes! Yayyy! :))

Okay, so that's all for now. Thank you for reading and listening/watching as well! Spread the love! Ciao! x ;)

Meteor Garden 2018: Pilot Week Recap

Ni hao! Ni hao ma? So today I will be talking about the remake of one of my favorite Asian dramas of all time, Meteor Garden. This will be the first drama I'll feature here so I'm really excited. Having said that, this might contain some spoilers this time so if you're not up to that, you might want to stop reading right now, I won't take it bad. :D

[Official poster]

I started watching over the weekend until episode 4. Unfortunately, no English subtitles yet for episodes 5-6 as of now. But I'm not complaining here. I mean, we're lucky enough to have the subs for a match-airing Chinese drama. In my experience so far, it's kinda hard to watch Chinese/Taiwanese and Japanese dramas that are currently airing in those countries. You'll have to wait for a week or so. It's really just in Korean dramas where you get an episode subbed in no time. Like if it aired tonight, tomorrow  morning there's the subbed episode right away. Sometimes even just after midnight it's available already. I know because I have a certain app on my phone where I used to download dramas. One time I checked at around 2am I think and there's the latest episode, subbed already. Daebak, jinjja! :))

Okay so just a little intro, Meteor Garden 2018 stars Dylan Wang, Darren Chen, Connor Leong, and Caesar Wu as the newest F4, and of course the cutie little lady Shen Yue as Shan Cai. The series premiered last July 9th. It airs every Monday-Wednesday in China and is expected to have 48 episodes. Sounds like a lot but since it's two episodes per day, it'll be over before we know it. I did my research and found out the last episode will air on August 28th, although of course for most of us we still have to wait for the subs. [Update: It seems the number of episodes and the last air date may still vary.]

You still here? Awesome! Well, so what can I say? First of all, the newest F4's looks and appeal are no joke! What is up with this generation really? If I may share with you, I am not one to be easily pleased with someone's appearance, whether male or female. I mean, it's not that they don't look good, it's just my own preference I guess. (Or maybe I just don't really bother so much about how other people look? Haha) I hope I didn't sound too rude there, because I have my own insecurities myself as well. But heck, we're not talking about me here anyway! Haha! :P

[Meet the newest F4! From top left: Caesar, Darren, Dylan, Connor. Photo from Bazaar Taiwan.]

Going back, I especially find the newest Dao Ming Si (Dylan Wang) really good-looking. Sometimes I forget he's still a kid, or am I just too old for this now? He's not even 20 yet. Omg. Haha. And I don't know about the others but his acting is not bad either, for a rookie actor if he is. His expressions are on point, see screenshot below. Spoiler alert from here on out everyone! :D

Guess what scene are these from? This and the next scene, you'll probably melt like I did! Haha! But I won't post it here. Just watch and see for yourself. It's on episode 3. ;)

Oh, I also find this particular scene below really heart-warming. I think this was the first scene where my heart skipped a beat. See, I'm a simple person like that. ❤❤❤

As for the other F4 members, I find this scene below kinda cute. I like the new Hua Ze Lei's (Darren Chen) smile here. Also, I don't know why but sometimes he reminds me of Harry Styles. Maybe it's the hair style. Plus to me he doesn't look like pure Chinese, or Taiwanese to be exact since he's actually from Taiwan. He looks a bit Western~ish or something. But that's just me. :D

As for Xi Men (Caesar Wu) and Mei Zuo (Connor Leong), so far I don't have any particular scenes of them yet that kinda stood out to me. But sure they were both funny especially when teasing Dao Ming Si! Haha! Also, this certain shot of Xi Men below kinda reminded me of Super Junior's Leeteuk. I don't know. It just did. So maybe this scene stood out to me after all lol. Plus you gotta love him here for helping out Shan Cai's friend. Gentleman~ish. ;)

So to continue... to be honest, I'm not exactly an Elf (SuJu stan) but I do like the individual members of the group. And for Leeteuk, I've seen him in a few variety shows and I just find him really nice. So yeah, when I saw this scene, I was shook. I got excited thinking, hey, he kinda looks like him from this angle! Haha

Okay I'm not saying I'm only liking these new guys' looks or just because they remind me of a certain person. To each is their own and they do seem to have a lot of potential. And although they appear to be more millennial~ish now as compared to all the other previous versions, no one can deny the charms of these new faces, right? :D

As for Shen Yue, our newest Shan Cai, we all loved her from "A Love So Beautiful" so no need to reiterate how cute that little lady is, both literally and figuratively! Haha! I've been hearing people saying her acting is a bit different here. But that just means she can adapt to any role and depending on the situation I guess. ;)

Anyways, so about the story, I like how they did not do so much for the bullying part. They made it more simple and less violent. Considering the younger generation of today, I think that's just fine and more realistic. One thing though, I think I find the transition of some scenes a bit fast-paced. Like I'm not sure if I'd totally get it all if I didn't already know the story and having seen it in all three different versions. But so far so good. :)

There you go. I can't wait to see the next episode from where I was watching. Hopefully it gets subbed within the week since new episodes will air again for this 2nd week of the show so far. Oh, shoutout to all our awesome translators and subbers by the way! You're doing us all a big favor as this new drama is so much anticipated all over the world, especially here in the Philippines! Xiexie! Salamat po! Thank you so much for your effort and keep up the good work! Jiayou! You rockkk! :))))

Update: July 18, 2018

So as of today, I finally got to watch the last two episodes of the pilot week. Episode 5 was mainly about Teng Tang Jing leaving for Paris and Hua Ze Lei going after her.

Meanwhile, episode 6 showed us the iconic elevator scene as well as some other sweet moments. Kyaaaa! Haha :))

The last part of episode 6 also included the bar scene where Shan Cai got drunk and woke up in a hotel all flustered. Oh nooo! :D

So that's it for the pilot week! As we know, things are about to get intense on the next episodes! Can't wait! ;)

P.S. Just found out that the opening song was actually sung by our newest F4! Now I'm liking them even more because I love music myself and I really like it when I find out that the actors I watch are music people as well. :) The song is called "For You." It may not be as catchy as the old songs we used to love from our original F4 but you can actually get used to it. It has this sweet and feel-good vibe for me. Here's the new F4 performing it live! :))

P.P.S. Want some more fun facts? I also found out that the Meteor necklace that A'Si gave to Shan Cai in the series was actually ordered and given by Didi (Dylan Wang) himself to Yue Yue (Shen Yue) as a birthday gift since that scene was taken on her birthday! Omg! My hearteuuu! Now I can't wait to see that scene! Haha!

Lastly, it also came to my radar that Didi taught Yue Yue how to kiss when in fact, she's actually his first kiss while for Yue Yue, it's not. You probably know who it was so I won't mention it here. Let's spread love, not hate. Hahaha! Okay, too much information. Sorry, I can't help it. But I hope you liked my little fun facts corner. ;)

Alrighty, that's all for now. What are your thoughts? You may share them below in the comment box and let all the feels come out. I can totally relate. Haha. You may also message me anywhere online. :D

Zaijian! Have a great day!

Wanna One: Wanna Be Loved 1st Fan Meeting in Manila 2017 (Recap)

Annyeong! So I'm back with another Kpop stuff. Just want to share with you guys my 2nd major Kpop event. It's just another recap of an event from last year. It's Wanna One's Wanna Be Loved 1st Fan Meeting in Manila held last October 13th 2017 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

[Official event poster from IME]

Just a little introduction, the group's name is Wanna One and fans like myself are called Wannables. Wanna One was formed through the season 2 of the survival show Produce 101. Most of us have been following them since those days. From the original 101 trainees at the beginning of the show, the final 11 members who will form the group was announced in the finale episode last June 16th 2017. The only sad part is that from the start we knew they won't be a permanent group and their contract will only last for around one year and a half. They officially debuted on August 7th 2017 and will disband in December 2018.

As much as possible, we try not to think too much about the disbandment and just enjoy our remaining days with them. Speaking of which, they will come again here in the Philippines in September 2018 as part of their One: The World tour! This will be their first actual concert here since their previous visit was for a fan meeting. Again, sad to say but this might be the last time. So even if it takes a whole lot, I'm going all out for this as I mentioned in my previous Kpop post. I'm a certified Wannable and I just love my boys all too much. Following their journey, I can't help but feel like a proud mom and all. So really, I would like to support them until the very end. ;)

Okay going back, seeing my boys live for the first time was totally nuts! I can't believe they're actually right in front of my face, although I wasn't exactly in the VIP section last FM (fan meeting). One reason why I'm going for it this time. Plus this will be the last so hopefully I can get the ticket I want. *crossed fingers*

[Before the show. Waiting!]

[Yeppeuda!]

[Wanna One Time]

[Look how far I was! Haha]

Wanna One performed songs from their debut album plus another song from Produce 101. In between, they had some fun activities such as the Wanna One School: PE Class where they actually wore school uniforms! There were also some games and raffle. Message VCRs from Wanna One and Wannables to each other were also shown.

[During Wanna Be (My Baby) performance. As far as I know, this is their song for the fans where they're just having fun and goofing around! Haha]

[Final message to Wannables before their last performance. T_T]

[Final performance of Always. So this one is another song for the fans but an emotional one at that. Imma cry when they sing this for the last time before they disband. T_T]

At the end before their final performance, Wanna One was given a customized special cake from Wannables. The food lovers that they are, they ate some of it right away! Haha! Then they also gave their final message to the fans and did a group selca with us. Let's pretend I was included in the selca. But I don't think so. It was too low it probably includes the VIPs only. Psh! Haha! Photo below from IME.

So here's the setlist of their performances as well as the videos I took. I was also able to record videos from the activities they did but I might not get to upload them anymore on my Youtube channel because our internet connection is quite unstable and it's kinda taking too long to upload just one video. I'm sure there are a lot of other videos posted by others already anyway. I only got to upload my videos just recently this July. I just thought it's quite timely since the ticket selling for the concert in September is coming up this July as well. ;)

There you have it! During their last performance for Always, we raised our banners provided by Wanna One Philippines. It has a message to Wanna One both written in Hangul (Korean) and in English. The boys actually got a copy too! Imma cry. T_T

Here's the message banner as well as their first official lightstick. First because there's a new one called Nable Bong and it's not that cheap! I just recently bought the new one too but I haven't gotten it yet. Will just update when I get it. But from what I saw online, it's really beautiful so I can't wait! Oh, I also bought a headband at the venue during the FM as well as some other merch. There's a lot of freebies too from the other fans and fansites! Komawo! Thank youuu! ;)

Here's some photos of me and fellow Wannables.

[With my officemate, Mary Ann. She really prepped for this, didn't she? The outfit, boots, and all! She was in the VIP section so I was alone in my seat! Fortunately, I befriended the one beside me and we fangirl-ed our hearts out together! Haha!]

[So this is the fellow fan I befriended at the venue. But I'm really sorry I can't remember her name now since it's been almost a year and we haven't been in contact either. :D]

Selca time...

[After the show! DIY feels! Haha]

[Taken by my new chingu (friend). Yay!]

[Outside the venue. My Archie x Wannable hearteuuu!!! So to give you a hint, my next event is that one on the left! I've been a fan since 2008 but let's save that for next time!]

[My ONGly star! Ne ne, I'm an Ong trash like that! Haha! Ong Seongwu is my main bias but I'm also an OngNiel shipper. OngNiel is Science forever and ever! :D]

Okay so before I end this, here's Wanna One inviting our lovely PH Wannables to come to their show on September 1st 2018 at the MOA Arena!!! OngNielHwi and WinkCloud speaking in English and Tagalog is everything yeoreobun!!! ;)
