Recap: DALIM3 Epic Experience ^_^

So it's been a week since the DALIM3 week and I just got to do this recap now just because we had our exams right after it. haha. Anyway, this is just my personal recap of the whole epic experience I had. It's really memorable for me even if it's just for the first two days of DALIM3 week that I was able to come to - Day 1, the arrival at the airport then the fans day at SM Megamall; and Day 2, the concert itself. But allow me to also post the rest of what happened in Day 3 and 4 of DALIM3 week just to show you the complete experience had I come too on those last two days before he left on July 21st. :))

Day 1 - July 17th, 2011
First day of DALIM3 week. Lots of things that happened to me this day for the first time. I had to travel alone from our province going to Manila. It's a little creepy because it's quite far from home and I'm not really used to going there by myself. But at the same time, of course it's exciting just to think what's to come later that day. When I got off the bus, I thought for a moment I was lost there. Good thing some fellow fans who are from the same province as I were there to the rescue. haha. And so, I got there at SM Megamall just in time to join the line for the purchase of TOSOD ATE CD and have it signed by David himself later.

I finally met all these fellow fans whom I first just got to know online. Felt really nice to finally meet them in person. We waited for a while there before we went to the airport - just to have some waiting again. haha. But it's cool because we were practicing how we would welcome David, either sing this or that song of him, shout his name, and many others. It was fun really! We ended up just screaming and if I remember right, you can't really understand a word - just pure, loud screams! lol. The only unfortunate thing that came next was that when he finally arrived, I didn't even see him! All the cars they used passed by so fast. But then I just thought, okay, I'll see him really close later at the mall so no worries. haha

The mall show started and they had some local artists to perform a few songs for us. At first I didn't like the idea just because that meant another waiting. They really sang nice though. One thing I also remember is that the group of fans I was with had this basket full of David's favorite Philippine mangoes, and someone asked me to help do a letter/message we'll put inside. Wow. haha. At first I didn't know how I'd do it and if David would really get to read it but I just thought, at least those words came from me if ever. Feels great! (I wanted to write a personal letter for him too beforehand but I just didn't really have enough time lol.) Then before we knew it, all the people around us suddenly rushed close to the stage and we were just there left at the back. We tried getting close as much as we can get too though. haha

The emcees had some games for us, giving away David stuff as prizes of course. A few more minutes, David finally showed up and I think I just killed my ears with all the screaming in the air. But it's all good! They asked him some questions and talked about what you'd expect they'd talk about. lol. Then he sang an a capella of "Stand By Me." Oh dear, it's the first-ever song I heard him sing live so you could imagine how stoked I was at the moment! Let alone he really nailed it! I managed to take some pics and also record a video of his performance but it's not that of good quality. Anyway, here's the full video I found on youtube. :)

After that performance, CD signing was next! We waited again for a while and when it's almost my turn, I would've had a picture with his dad Mr. Jeff Archuleta, if only I really wasn't an epic fail. I regret that I got a bit scared they'd say something because it's my turn already for the signing and there I was trying to have a pic with him. But it's okay. Maybe next time. On the bright side though, I finally met David face to face as he was signing my CD! He's truly a lot more mesmerizing in person. Those eyes! Those eyes! How could there be such beautiful eyes as those? haha. All I was able to say to him by the way was "Hello David!" Then there's his brilliant response "Hey!" And then nothing! Nothing! lol. I think I also got to say "You're awesome!" though I'm not sure he heard it because I just said it quietly. I was pretty much speechless really. But for the most part, I shook hands with him after he signed my CD! What a grip I'd say! His hand! His hand! I shook his hand for the first time. Oh gosh! lol. Here's a pic of my signed TOSOD ATE. :)

I chatted a bit with my co-Archies after that while trying to sink in what just happened. Then I finally got my ticket too for the concert tomorrow night. I asked a friend to help me buy it 'cause I'm having a little problem buying it in our place. But anyway, yay! It's really getting more and more real for me! I still can't believe it. A few minutes later, the CD signing was over and David left. What's funny was that a few minutes more again after that, we went to Edsa Shangri-La, the hotel where he'll be staying for this whole DALIM3 week. I didn't really expect we'd see him there though, and yes, we didn't. lol. But what I can't believe again was that David's front act, Julie Anne San Jose actually passed by me and a friend without even knowing it at the time. I just realized it when I saw some pics from the presscon to which they were both on it.

So I think that's pretty much everything that happened on this first day. I got home at about 1am already and yes, I got scolded a bit but it's all worth it. Tomorrow night will be a blast! :))

Day 2 - July 18th, 2011
So much anticipation for tonight's show but I still went to school during the day. I wish I just skipped our last two subjects so I wouldn't have been late for the concert. I didn't even really tell anyone what I was up to. I just casually said to my friends that I'll go home today by myself and won't be joining them - which is not a lie 'cause after school, I really went home first to change clothes and fix my things. I got on the bus at around 7pm already. Then I had to search for the venue when I got off because it's another new place for me. After asking some directions from the people there, I finally found it. Julie Anne's first song already started. But it's okay. At least it wasn't yet David, right? First things first. lol

So yeah, tonight has finally come! David's first major solo concert in Araneta Coliseum! I can't really explain in words what I felt when he finally came out and started singing, as well as the entire show. All I know is that I was screaming the whole time and singing along with every song, while at the same time trying to take some pics too (pics only, no vids lol). It was beyond amazing! Just see it for yourself on the vids below. Credit to etiamexspecto for all the awesome vids from the concert! Here's the full setlist:

There you go. This night's just so magical for me. I'm really grateful I got to experience it all while I'm still 18. I honestly thought that maybe by the time I'd finally see him, I'm already in my 20's... like 25 or something. lol. Anyway, I'm turning 19 a week from now so maybe you can call it an advanced birthday gift from above. God is so good really. He'll give it to you when you least expected it. :)

After the concert, some fellow Pinoy Archies and I went to KFC and ate. Had really fun conversations too in there that we didn't realize it's getting really late already. And when it's time to go, that's when I felt a bit sad thinking it's all over now for me. Tomorrow and the next day I won't be able to come anymore. But nah, I sure had a blast tonight and yesterday at the mall show! That's already a big thing for me. And then I just thought I'll see him again anyway next year for DALIM4! haha. Wishful thinking it is but you'll see, he'll come back again next year! :D

I got home at about 4am the next day because the bus we rode still waited for other passengers too, we were the first ones there. lol. Then you know what's next, of course I got scolded again. Big time. But I totally understand. It's my first time to go home late like that. So late. But what I was really worried about is that later that day we'll have two quizzes and they're so not easy. I barely took any sleep just to review. I guess that's the prize of all this but I'm willing to pay for it. It's not like it happens everyday, right? :D

So that's it. Below are some vids of what happened on Day 3 and 4 which as I said, I wasn't able to come to. I'm just living with the vids now but I'm totally okay with it. haha

7teenz Reunion (05-21-11)

This blog's supposed to be written last Saturday, May 21st, but since I can't help procrastinating, just got to write it now and it's already Monday, May 23rd. lol.

So anyway, my high school friends and I had a really cool reunion last Saturday. We are seven in the group but unfortunately, two weren't able to come. Sad but that's the only thing to be sad about; the rest was just pure bliss. I can't really tell every single thing that happened so I’ll just try summarizing it all.

First off were the warm greetings we'd give when someone finally arrives at our meeting place. You know those typical hugs and kisses when you see someone really close to you after quite a while? Yeah, like that.

We talked about lots and lots of stories both from our high school days, and our college life too so far. Two of us just graduated a two-year course this year and we’re really happy for 'em. One of those two even passed their board exams already. How awesome is that? They shared some of their plans and what they are soon to do next, having been the first to finish their schooling among the group. And then you'll just find one after the other talking about some kind of not really a whole lot of sense stuff but everyone would be happy to listen to. Oh, good times! I remember back in the day when we'd spend most of our time together just laughing and laughing about nothing, really. lol

After that, we wanted to watch a movie but figured there was nothing in there yet that we would like to watch that time so we just went to an amusement place where we played some arcade games and had some karaoke singing. Then we ate at McDonald's, our all time favorite food chain since high school. We took pictures of course. But after eating, we even had a group pic session at a real studio. We never had that last time so it's really cool to be able to do it now. Below are those studio photos. We had three poses. haha

(from top left: Marra, Evelyn, Gielen, Cheska, and me)

So there, I guess that's pretty much it. We had some final goodbye hugs and kisses then we started parting ways again which was of course a little sad but we know there would always be next time, right? And I hope when that times comes, we’ll finally be complete again, all of us 7teenz. Yeah, that’s what we call our group by the way. What’ya think? :)

Random Recap of Meeeee ^_^

Just a quick update of how I've been and what I've been up to lately. So for the whole month of April, I did some reviewing for our qualifying exam for incoming 3rd year accountancy students like me in our school. It's quite a hard work but I still managed to have fun in between - by that I meant have fun online lol. When we finally took the exam last May 9th, it surely was a total nuts! I was sure I wasn't gonna pass it after I finished answering. But then I don't know what miracle was on work that on the results day the next Monday, May 16th, I did it! I passed! I'm still qualified in the accountancy program of our school! So I just really wanna thank God for that. I hope He knows how grateful I am I still got another shot. Ah, He knows for sure, doesn't He? heh:)

The next day I went to school again to pay for our entrance fee. Later, my mom helped me have a haircut at a salon. I'll have it undergo a relax treatment again but that will still be after June 1st because me and some friends are going for a swimming that day. I thought that might ruin it all if I'll have it done before that day so yeah, will just post a pic of it by that time. Then my mom bought me some stuff, which, I'm not sure if that's her treat for me having passed the exam lol. Mom's cool like that. But to be honest, if only I can really ask for a reward, there's only one thing I would ask for--some bucks for me to buy a concert ticket of my most favorite artist ever. He'll have a concert here in the country for the third time on July 18th. How cool is that? haha

Anyway, today I uploaded on youtube a recording of me singing my first-ever original song composition called "Once In My Life." I wrote it for a guy who, let's say was really special to me back then. Just thought I'd share it here too 'cause I really had fun doing it. Enjoy listening. :)

So that's all for now. Till then. :)

Just an import from my Friendster blog...

So this was originally posted in my Friendster blog last Sept. 10, 2009. I kinda just wanted to post it again here 'cause I heard they are shutting down that social site so my blog site in there would probably not work anymore too by that time. Just thought of preserving this particular post 'cause it's kinda special to me. Never mind the others lol. So here's how it goes...

-START-

Hey, I just wanna share an experience of mine which was really cool for me.

I had the chance to chat with Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift yesterday which was a Wednesday morning here and apparently a Tuesday evening there.

Well, at first, I couldn’t believe it. I also had concerns if they were for real, if they were just posers or anything like that. But in the end, I was convinced that they’re the real ones. We had very nice conversations, mostly about music, of course.

Miley was very nice in entertaining my questions mostly about Hannah Montana, and also her duet with you know who, oh…let’s just call him Archie. LOL. I even asked Miley if she has his email too. [Btw, she gave me Taylor’s email without me even asking for it yet. haha]

Okay. Going back, when I asked Miley about that, she said she doesn’t have it. She also said that when they talk, it’s always about her show, Hannah Montana, for he would always ask her about that.

Ha! I think he really is like that. When he’s talking to someone, he would always ask or talk about that person’s shows, his/her music, and other stuffs. heh:)

Anyway, Miley also said they wrote about 3 or 4 songs, if I remember right. And when I asked if they recorded anything yet, she said they would probably do it on Thanksgiving or Christmas. That made me remember Archie’s upcoming Christmas album. And so I asked Miley about that, if they won’t have any duet in his album because Archie already started recording solo’s. [I’ve read in his tweets! haha] But then, Miley said she doesn’t know yet and that it depends to the recording company. [Uhh…It would be nice if they’ll have one. I really love the blending of their voices. It’s very nice to hear.]

After that, I mentioned that I wasn’t able to watch Hannah Montana the Movie, for I was really busy that time in school. She then said something like “Too bad. I tell you, it’s really interesting.” And then I just agreed.

So then I just played her duet with Archie, “I wanna know you.” I told her what I’m doing and then she asked me how I like the jokes. “Pretty good”, I just said.

Okay. What else?! Ah. Btw, I forgot. Before anything else, we had a little intro. I asked her how many she’s chatting with. She said 25 and they’re mostly fast-typing.

She asked me how old am I and I answered we’re just the same. “I turned 17 last August 1”, I told her. And also, she asked me if I can photo share ‘coz at first, I only had an avatar as my profile pic on yahoo. She said she just wanna know how her fan looks like, but she immediately told me it’s okay if I won’t do it. But of course I did it! I just uploaded my primary pic in fs, even though it’s black and white. And then she told me some of the nicest comments I’ve ever received. haha. [Do I still need to say the details? Well, I don’t think you would believe it if I told you. So I better just not. LOL]

Okay. That’s it for Miley. As for Taylor, we haven’t really talk that much ‘coz honestly, I was carried away by my topic with Miley. haha

Well, Taylor’s very nice too. She’s very open on how does she write her songs.

She asked me if I do write songs too, and I just said I don’t think I do. [You know, I was thinking I should have just told her, “Nope. I love singing though”, but I forgot to say it, I don’t know why.]

Anyway, I told her she’s really very popular now. She said she knows it and she’s very welcome to her fans. That’s all I remember. After that, both Miley and Taylor said goodbye to me, for they will be eating dinner together with Emily Osment.

That ends my conversation with them.

Oh btw, Taylor’s chatting with 31 people that time including me, and Miley, and wait… also our very own Sarah Geronimo. I just saw her post in twitter saying she’ll have a live chat. So I immediately chat with her too.

In our talk, I told her that I just had a chat with the two, and she said she also had. I said I still can’t believe it. And then I asked her, what are the emails of the two she had a chat with so that I can compare them with mine. Then I realized they’re the same emails I had in my list. Next thing I know, she asked me if I think those two were just posers. I said, not really. And then, after knowing that the emails were the same, I told her, how dumb am I to still ask in Miley’s verified account on twitter if she also owns the account from where I got her email. [I did this after my chat with Miley. Uhh…I know I shouldn’t have asked that, right? But maybe, that’s because it’s my first time to chat with them so it’s kinda unusual thing to me.]

Sarah then told me, that account was also Miley’s. She just didn’t verify it so people won’t know she’s that too. Then I remember somehow, I think I already have read that from Miley’s previous tweets. I’m just not sure.

Hmm…btw again, before all those things, Sarah and I had a little intro too. I asked her what she’s doing and she said she was cooking eggs and hotdogs for breakfast. [This I thought of how’s Miley and friends’ dinner together. LOL]

Sarah said she was cooking and chatting at the same time. I was just kinda worried about it because she might burn what she’s cooking. heh:)

Anyway, I asked her how many she’s chatting with, and she said I’m the only one. Yes, that’s right! But that’s because, that time, it’s still early in the morning here. [I’m more of a morning-shift surfer in the net, you know. But it’s not that I want it, it’s just, it really just has to be like that for some reason. haha]

Okay. After that, the Miley and Taylor topic went on. And after that topic, ends our conversation. She’ll eat her breakfast already. So we just said goodbye to each other.

Oh well. I think I’ve said pretty much everything. You know, I’m really talkative when it comes to this. People just don’t realize it because I could only show it in the net. I’m a talkative writer, but not a speaker. You know what I mean? LOL

Okay. So that’s just another fact from me, and from now on, it’s EXPOSED!

Thanks for reading!

See you again next time.

Have a great day^_^

-END-

P.S.

You can also view here my original post of this on Friendster. I'm just not sure if it would still work when that shut down thingy's done. I'm just trying it out. But anyway, that's it. So long, Friendster. Thanks for being a good start of my online social life. :)
